Got a question?
"Wireless" transmission means that each Innovizion outdoor TV is supplied with a separate wireless transmitter (802.11a) and a receiver built into the TV. This means you can connect your set top box or DVD or VHS player to the transmitter inside, and your TV will receive the signal wirelessly. The only cabling required is power!
The protective tempered glass screen is dipped in a special coating that reduces glare, reflections and UV rays. It's this special coating that gives it a purple tint.
Each Innovizion outdoor, weatherproof TV is equipped with "IR control". This means that you can control your set top box, DVD or VHS player from outside, through your Innovizion TV. You simply need to connect the IR cable to the wireless transmitter and then locate the IR cable bulb in front of the IR receiver on whatever it is you want to control. Then take your remote outside with you.
Your waterproof Innovizion remote control uses a standard CR2032 lithium battery. These are cheap and widely available wherever a range of batteries are sold. When replacing the battery, be sure to take great care with the silicon rubber seal to preserve the waterproof nature of your remote.
Unlike normal LCD TVs, your Innovizion outdoor, weatherproof TV is built to be rained on. Simply wash the outside with warm, soapy water and rinse off with a hose!
Innovizion outdoor, weatherproof TVs have a unique, thermostatically controlled ventilation system to protect it against heat and huimidity. The two stage fan system turns on once a factory set temperature is reached. The fans will turn off once the temperature drops below that point. If you want to turn the fans off manually, simply turn the TV off at the power point.
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels don't like to get too hot or too cold. Sometimes on warm days with a high UV index, grey patches will appear on the screen. Don't worry - the panel won't be damaged by this. To avoid this, we recommend mounting your Innovizion TV with a southern facing exposure or where the unit will be shaded between mid morning and mid afternoon. You should also ensure the inlet ventilation (under the panel) ducts are unobstructed at all times.
The IP (International Protection) rating given to a piece of electrical apparatus is a two digit code indicating the degree of protection its cabinet gives it. The first digit represents protection against solid objects (such as dirt) and the second digit represents protection against ingress of water.
Innovizion TVs meet the IP56 rating which is to say "limited ingress, protected against harmful dust deposits" and "protected against strong jets of water with limited ingress". This means your Innovizion TV is NOT waterproof or airtight, so don't take it in the pool with you!
